Rachel Payne spoke to Forbes two years ago on how startups should approach tech accelerator and incubator program. These programs provide education in launching companies and potentially open doors to contacts and investors crucial to a startup’s success.
As the Founder and CEO of FEM Inc., Rachel took her video discovery platform, PRIZMA, to Techstars Disney. Her advice to other startups seeking this opportunity was:
"…startups need to do their homework before taking the plunge by interviewing entrepreneurs who have been through a prospective accelerator, as well as initiating a dialogue with the accelerator itself. Your time is the most precious resource, as an entrepreneur, and there are a lot of service providers out there that will claim to help you but they may not actually be that helpful and they may be very costly from a financial and time management standpoint."
